Cherry and mixed woods with maple inlay, extensive open work to galleries, crown and corbels. Upper shelf with four draped women holding torches, panels with carved snowflakes. Center section has six inlaid full figures. Bottom section has three drawers, front and side panels with inlaid snowflakes. 68.5"h x 38"w x 13"d, original finish, shows its age, terrific condition. Chinese four-panel screen, c.1900, ebonized with applied decorations to center panels of vases and animals in semi-precious stones including lapis, malachite, tiger's eye, moonstone, jadeite, rose quartz, and two large cinnebar vases. Trim and top and bottom panels have deeply carved linear decorations. Reverse has incised and gilt landscapes and still life decorations. Brass feet. 90"h, each panel 21"w. Impressive oak Victorian oval center table, dramatic carvings to legs include open-mouthed wolves with pointed ears and slanted eyes, each wolf with tongue and two different fruit pods from the mouth, paw feet. Oval top has vivid graining and carved edging.
