Goth was considered one of the premier portrait painters from Indiana. She studied under Otto Stark, the John Herron Institute, the Cincinnati Art Academy, and the Art Students League in New York. She received several awards in her lifetime, including ones from the Hoosier Salon and the National Academy of Design. |

Laurens and Lucien Simon. He eventually settled in Toledo, Ohio, where he organized the Toledo Independent Artist Club. |

Sitzman, Indiana, 1874-1949, Landscape with pink blossoms, watercolor, 20" x 14", signed. 250-350 Sitzman was born in Cincinnati, where he studied at the Art Academy with Duveneck and Farny. He also studied in London and Munich. He set up a studio in Indianapolis, and was a member of the Indiana Art Club, Indianapolis Art Association, and the Chicago Galleries Association. |

Gordon Hope Grant, New York, 1875-1962, Sailors singing in the rain, lithograph, 10" x 13", pencil signed. 200-300 A painter, etcher and illustrator born in California, Grant is known best for his maritime subjects, though he also covered wars for newspapers and did illustrations for the pulp fiction trade. He was honored many times by the American Watercolor Society, and his memberships included the Salmagundi Club. |
