Twelve Works by William St. John Harper, A.N.A., NY, 1851-1910.

William St John Harper was a well-known painter and etcher in New York. He studied at the National Academy of Design with William Merritt Chase, and was a founder and president of the Art Student's League of New York. He also taught at the National Academy and Cooper Union. Many of his paintings depict East Hampton NY.
