KPM hand painted plaque, depiction of The Chocolate Girl by Étienne Liotard, 18th century woman in floor length peasant dress and jacket in gold, bone white and gray with pink lace-trimmed bonnet. She carries a tray with decorated edging, a decorated chocolate cup and a glass of water. Incredible detail, characteristic of KPM quality. Signed lower right E Ens 1860. Reverse: Impressed KPM, H, Ink script signature reads Liotard Dresden g.i. E Ens 1860, central paper label reads brs- in ink script. 10" x 7.5", unframed, excellent condition. 1,500-2,000

Beautiful young maiden with flowing hair wrapped in teal flowing robe, wearing white blouse and reading open book, against wooded background of large and small rocks and green branches and leaves.
