267. Exceptional carved walnut Victorian turtle top table. Four separate carvings to skirt, each a variation on love birds in and around a nest with eggs, oak leaves, pods, and trumpet blossoms. Each knee is deeply carved with a squirrel climbing branches with nuts and leaves, towards the nests. Pierced stretcher with central urn finial filled with fruit and nuts topped by a squirrel pinning down a bird. 29.5"h x 44" x 31".
