353. 19th century Scottish linen press, richly grained mahogany, expert carving, central domed mirrored door flanked by ribbon wrapped fluted columns with carved capitals of fruits, nuts, blossoms and pierce-carved vining, large domed crown carved with shield, nuts, pods and pierce-carved vining, central door over interior drawers flanked by two doors with panels with carved rippled edging. He immigrated to the United States in 1910, living primarily in Arizona and California. He specialized in marine paintings, cityscapes, Venice, and the Grand Canyon. |
